Creating Stories – Video Direction and Motion Graphics

I embark on each project by meticulously crafting mood and style boards, which evolve into comprehensive storyboards for film, TV, and videos. With a deep understanding of production dynamics, I possess the expertise to assemble and lead teams, orchestrating video and animation productions with precision.

From sourcing the right producers, 2/3D animators, scriptwriters, and editors to directing live-action sequences, I ensure that every aspect of the creative process is executed seamlessly. Additionally, I excel in selecting the most suitable vendors and agencies, leveraging my knowledge of budgeting to optimize production workflows and enhance quality.

My ultimate goal is to elevate creative output while staying true to brand objectives, captivating audiences with captivating narratives that resonate deeply. Each project presents an opportunity to push boundaries and deliver memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Salesforce Innovation Center Tokyo, Japan 180° Screen Curve Screen

Client: Salesforce Global Real Estate

Role: Senior Art Director

Objective: Salesforce's SIC Customer Experience Centers in Tokyo, Sydney, and Chicago are set to feature an impressive new 180° screen, offering a unique opportunity to elevate guest experiences significantly. Drawing on insights from neuroscience and psychology, our proposed global content strategy aims to optimize the impact of the 180° screen, with potential application across Salesforce's Innovation Centers worldwide.

The content strategy is anchored in four psychological principles:

  1. Priming Ideal Affect: Creating a backdrop of positive, low-arousal experiences to set the stage for pleasant interactions, without distracting from social engagements within the SIC.

  2. Inducing Awe: Fostering social bonds through shared experiences of awe, achieved by making individuals feel physically smaller and challenging their perception of the world, ultimately promoting increased cooperation.

  3. Spatial Metaphor: Subconsciously reinforcing the concept of "superiority" by utilizing upward motion and crafting the illusion of a journey into the sky.

  4. Gratitude: Lowering defenses and fostering social cooperation by instilling a collective sense of gratitude.

Result: A journey to the canopy of the forest, where guests are immersed in a unique and awe-inspiring experience, fostering positive emotions and meaningful social interactions.

TruClear Global product videos series

Client: TruClear Global

Role: Creative Director

Our mission was to showcase TruClear Global's Glass Technology, and we decided the most impactful approach was to film it in real-time environments. TruClear Global specializes in transforming physical spaces into digitalized social environments and large-scale sales signage. Our series of videos captured the technology in action at diverse events, including the Fenty Puma AW18 launch in Beverly Hills, the Panorama Building in Miami, and the Mitsubishi Dealership in Miami.

360Profilms Demo Reel (VR films)

Role: Creative Director

Our aim was to highlight the capabilities of 360Profilm and to capture the essence of VR films could bring. Taking a plunge into the VR landscape, I established 360profilms, integrating Samsung headsets to showcase the distinctive features of VR technology. The objective was to underscore how VR empowers clients to narrate their stories in ways traditional film cannot, offering viewers an immersive and interactive experience that surpasses other media formats.

I collaborated with Glassdoor to produce a VR film aimed at pitching their platform to top recruiters. Using VR technology, we effectively communicated the unique culture at Glassdoor and the benefits of working with them. Our partnership involved crafting a compelling script, handling all aspects of production—from talent sourcing to location scouting, editing, VR post-production, and delivering the final output onto headsets. The finished headsets were meticulously gift-wrapped and sent out to individual recruiters.

ForeScout VR Film

Role: Art Director & VR Camera man

I joined GB Films to spearhead the creation of their inaugural VR film for the client ForeScout, aiming to establish connections with new clients at the RSA Conference, a leading global event in the realm of online cybersecurity. Operating as both a VR expert and cameraman, I provided guidance on optimal shooting strategies, selecting multiple locations across California. Navigating the challenge of shooting discreetly, we relied on live audio feedback without the ability to review footage until after VR post-production—a process reminiscent of traditional photography. The final video garnered great success when showcased on headsets at the RSA Conference.
